Existing boiler feedwater systems separate into a high-pressure feedwater heater line and a bypass line past the feed pump, and a total of three gate valves are installed on each line (two on the feedwater heater line and one on the bypass line) for switching the flow of fluid.
Features
The three-way valve enables the flow of fluid to be switched between the feedwater heater line and the bypass line with a single valve. This valve eliminates the need for one of the two gate valves installed on the feedwater heater line and thus helps reduce the initial cost.
