In 1932, for the first time in the world, we were able to adopt the use of stellite, an alloy with an optimal maximum temperature, in the production of our valve seat surfaces. It has been the world standard ever since, and valve manufacturers worldwide are still using stellite. From that ground-breaking innovation until now, we have been developing valves for power plants and large tankers, valves resisting the -196℃ temperatures of liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied natural gas, shutoff valves resisting the 1200℃ temperatures of wind tunnels, steam transformation valves that are able to manage both temperature and pressure decrease with a single unit, in addition to other developments in various sectors of the industry. In addition, we take an aggressive approach in carrying out research and development on valve materials, maintenance equipment and software, and are constantly working toward new innovation.
